WhatsApp Incorporates A Document Scanner: This is how it functions

Over two billion people use WhatsApp, an instant messaging service owned by Meta that is always testing and releasing new features. Users must utilize third-party applications to scan and share documents, even if the app already offers a ton of capabilities.

However, WhatsApp just released a new feature that allows users to share documents with anybody on their contact list without ever leaving the app by scanning them with the in-app camera. This is quite helpful because before, users had to use a third-party program in order to scan a document, store it to a folder, and then send it to other people as an attachment.

How can I use WhatsApp to scan documents?

Open WhatsApp on your iPhone, hit the “Plus” icon in the bottom bar, and choose Documents to use the built-in document scanner. Three options will now appear to you: “Scan document,” “Choose from files,” and “Choose photo or video.”

After selecting the third option, the in-app camera will launch. To scan the document, place it in the viewfinder and press the shutter. As with a regular document, you may now distribute it to others.

It could take a while before the new option appears on your smartphone because WhatsApp claims to be implementing the functionality gradually. Additionally, users will need to utilize third-party applications in the meantime as it is still unknown whether and when the feature will be accessible on Android smartphones.
