Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, a Congress MP, claimed on Tuesday that the government was preventing the Lok Sabha from acting as a strategy because it was scared to bring up the Adani problem.
She said that in an attempt to deflect attention from the primary problem concerning the corporate behemoth Adani, the governing party is accusing the Congress leadership of having ties to George Soros.
“The administration is either incapable of managing the House or does not wish to do so. After the House was adjourned for the day, Priyanka Gandhi told reporters, “We go inside the House for work, but work is not happening. Our protest is from 10:30 to 11.”
They begin working to adjourn the House as soon as we sit down. The general secretary of the Congress stated, “I believe it is their strategy; they do not want a discussion.”
She asserted that the administration is afraid to talk about the Adani problem because they know that everything would be in the open. “I’m shocked; the PM hasn’t even visited Parliament, and I’m new to the House.” Given the accusations made in the US, Priyanka Gandhi emphasized the need of bringing up the Adani issue.
“There have been allegations in the United States that Adani has paid crores in bribes to raise people’s electricity bills and profit,” she said.
“I think it is the most ridiculous thing they could come up with,” Priyanka Gandhi remarked in response to the BJP’s claims that opposition leaders had conspired with George Soros. There is no record of it. Nobody has any idea what they are discussing. “They’re only doing it because they don’t want to talk about Adani,” she claimed.
Her comments followed accusations by Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju that the Congress and its leadership were conspiring with anti-Indian elements and US billionaire George Soros, which caused the Lok Sabha to collapse and adjourn for the day.
Rijiju further criticized Congress lawmakers for “attacking the dignity” of Parliament by entering the House in masks and caricature-adorned jackets during Zero Hour.
As Rijiju spoke, members of the opposition poured into the Well.
The minister said that other members of the House were being prevented from bringing up concerns pertaining to their areas because of the Congress leaders’ procrastination of Parliament.
