The Front-Runner To Succeed Sean Dyche At Everton Is Jose Mourinho

With the club’s new owners, The Friedkin Group (TFG), apparently prepared to fire current manager Sean Dyche as early as next week, Jose Mourinho has emerged as the unexpected favorite to become Everton’s next manager. Despite a contentious departure from Roma last year at the hands of TFG’s billionaire owner Dan Friedkin, the 61-year-old Portuguese manager, who has had a storied career across some of Europe’s top clubs, including Chelsea, Manchester United, and Real Madrid, is reportedly eager to return to the Premier League.

Everton’s administration has not been put off by Mourinho’s history of high-profile firings, which includes time spent at Chelsea and Manchester United. Since Mourinho is eager to restore his name in English football following a difficult stint in Italy and Turkey, his possible appointment would be a huge coup for the team. With Everton struggling in the Premier League and just above the relegation zone, Dyche, who has been in charge for over two years, is under pressure.

Due To Difficulties At Everton, Dyche’s Future is Uncertain.

Following a run of subpar performances, Everton’s current manager, Sean Dyche, is reportedly reaching the end of his time there. Everton’s poor play, which included only three victories in 19 Premier League games, has caused management and supporters to doubt the sustainability of Dyche’s style of playing. In an attempt to establish themselves before the team moves to their new Bramley-Moore Dock stadium in the summer, the club’s new owners are apparently considering a number of possible successors, including former manager David Moyes.

Dyche stated that succession planning is a normal aspect of any football club’s business, acknowledging the rumors that have been swirling about him. Dyche is still focused on the team’s FA Cup match against Peterborough United, which manager has referred to as a “banana skin” match. Should the Toffees lose, the pressure on his job might increase even more.
