Snacc, Swiggy’s New Standalone App for 15-Minute Food Delivery, Is Now Live!

Snacc, a new app from Swiggy, promises to bring food, beverages, and snacks in as little as fifteen minutes.

This is Swiggy’s newest offering in the dynamic quick-commerce market; it debuted on January 7 in the Google Play Store and the Apple App Store. There are intentions to expand the service countrywide, although it is now only available in some areas of Bengaluru.

Gaining an Advantage in Efficient Trade

Launched at a time when big competitors like Zomato and Blinkit are increasing their emphasis on fast delivery services, Snacc joins the fray in the 10-15 minute meal delivery market.

While Zomato’s main app now has a 15-minute food delivery capability in select locations, Blinkit’s subsidiary Bistro offers 10-minute delivery of snacks, dinners, and drinks.

Also, businesses like Magicpin are getting in on the action with their MagicNOW service, and Zepto’s Cafe has been growing at a rapid pace.

There is a massive market in India for lightning-fast meal delivery services. The market is expected to reach $40 billion by 2030, as predicted by Datum Intelligence.

Compared to Bolt, Swiggy’s app, how does Snacc differ?

Snacc is more concerned with quick food, ready-to-eat meals, and drinks than Bolt, Swiggy’s service that promises 10-minute restaurant food delivery.

Indian breakfast, egg puffs, chocolate cookies, coffee, tea, sandwiches, and cheese Maggi are just a few of the many items available on the service menu. Swiggy hopes to attract a wider variety of customers in the quick-commerce space by setting itself apart from Bolt using Snacc.

Since its introduction in October 2024, Bolt has expanded to more than 400 cities and now accounts for over 5% of Swiggy’s total food delivery orders. It offers a variety of well-known national and local brands, and in some areas, you may have your order in as little as three minutes.

There has been a flurry of new developments in the fast food delivery industry. Swiggy has competition from services like Blinkit’s Bistro and Zomato’s 15-minute delivery service. With 75,000 deliveries in only one month, Magicpin’s MagicNOW pilot was impressive, and Ola Consumer joined the segment via the Open Network for Digital Commerce.

In addition to Zepto Cafe, several startups are seeing success with hyperlocal delivery in some areas (Swish, Zing), and Zepto Cafe is projected to reach an ARR of Rs 1,000 crore in the following fiscal year.
